Grabmale Rolke

Grabmale Rolke is a family-run master stoneworking business in its sixth generation, continuing a craft tradition established in 1900 in Essen-Altenessen. Since 1925, the company has been based on Holtgrawenstraße near Westfriedhof in Gelsenkirchen-Heßler. Its work focuses on the design and production of memorials, with careful attention to the choice of natural stone, ornaments, figures and lettering that shape each monument’s appearance.

The company offers a broad selection of traditional and distinctive gravestones made from natural stone materials, displayed in its showroom alongside grave decorations, lettering samples and symbols. Its products also include bronze vases, lights and bowls, as well as lettering in aluminium, stainless steel or bronze and inscriptions carved into stone. Grabmale Rolke provides personal consultations, giving priority to customers’ wishes and helping them consider suitable designs and materials. Stoneworking is carried out manually using selected materials, with master stonemason and sculptor Dirk Rolke personally undertaking each stoneworking project. The company presents skilled craftsmanship and practical expertise as central to its service.
