Grace’s Place, Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing child abuse and neglect by providing safe, supportive care for children and youth. Established in December 2010, it operates a state-licensed emergency shelter in Union, Missouri, serving children from birth through age 18. The shelter offers 24-hour care for stays of up to 30 days, helping families facing crises that may put a child’s basic needs, safety, or family stability at risk. Its services are always free.
Grace’s Place provides crisis care, respite care, case management, and mobile counseling. The organization welcomes children in need and emphasizes high standards of care to support their safety and well-being. Since opening, it has provided care to more than 1,000 children. Grace’s Place began in Washington, Missouri, and opened its Union location in 2021; in summer 2022, it moved all operations to Union after closing the Washington facility. The organization also invites community members to support its work through donations and involvement.
