Grainger County EMS, also known as Grainger County Ambulance Authority, is a licensed municipal ambulance service serving Grainger County, Tennessee. Founded in 1978, it operates with public funding from the county’s General Fund and an annual budget approved by the County Commission. From four strategically located stations, the service provides around-the-clock advanced life support emergency and non-emergency medical care to nearly 23,000 residents across communities including Rutledge, Bean Station, Blaine, Thorn Hill, Powder Springs, Washburn, and Joppa.
