The Grand Van Gogh Exhibition, launching in 2025, promises an exceptional showcase of artworks by the legendary Dutch painter Vincent van Gogh, renowned for his emotional depth and innovative techniques. This exhibition will travel through three key Japanese cities: Kobe, Fukushima, and Tokyo, featuring an extensive collection from the Kröller-Müller Museum, which includes approximately 50 masterpieces not seen in Japan for 70 years. Highlighted works will include The Bridge at Arles, along with pieces from contemporaries such as Seurat and Gauguin.

During the first phase from September 2025 to February 2026, attendees will explore van Gogh's early career in the Netherlands, moving through his time in Paris to Arles. This groundbreaking exhibition aims to attract up to 1.1 million visitors, offering them a chance to engage deeply with Van Gogh's art and the rich cultural atmosphere of the period. In 2027, the second phase will delve into the latter part of his career, rounding out a comprehensive look at this iconic artist's legacy.
