Le Grand Bivouac is a documentary film and book festival held each October in Albertville, in France’s Savoie region. Founded in 2002, the festival brings audiences together for a week of films, books, discussions and cultural events, using travel and discovery as ways to explore contemporary life and understand the wider world. Its program is designed to welcome people across generations and backgrounds, inviting filmmakers, writers and other witnesses to share their experiences, perspectives and emotions.
Festival offerings include an international selection of creative documentary films, a book fair with literary meetings, conferences and debates with experts, and a village of partner organizations.
