At Grandma’s Barn, we believe every animal deserves compassion, safety, and a place to call home. We provide lifelong sanctuary for some, foster care for others, and actively work to connect animals with dedicated fosters and forever families. Through rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming, our mission is rooted in love and guided by the belief that kindness can change lives, both animal and human alike. About Grandma’s Barn Rescue
Grandma's Barn Rescue & Sanctuary, located in the serene landscapes of Northern Nevada, is a heartfelt animal rescue dedicated to providing shelter and care for animals in need. The sanctuary is home to horses, donkeys, and dogs, with future plans to expand its mission to include cows, goats, and other farm animals. Inspired by the unconditional love of their beloved great-grandmother, the organization firmly believes in giving every animal a second chance at life, whether through permanent sanctuary, foster care, or adoption into loving homes.
Founded by Tanya, who transitioned from a successful career in yoga to fulfill her dream of creating a nurturing space for animals, the sanctuary embodies a family-driven mission of compassion and community. With the support of Tanya's family, including her husband Cam and twins Cade and Maddison, they strive to connect animals with dedicated fosters and forever families.
