About Grassroots Economics
Grassroots Economics is a non-profit foundation dedicated to empowering marginalized communities and enabling them to shape their own economic future. Through their community development programs, Grassroots Economics focuses on economic empowerment and helping communities realize and share their abundance. Their initiatives primarily benefit small businesses, people living in informal settlements, as well as rural areas.
However, their documentation and tools have been successfully implemented worldwide. Grassroots Economics has a rich history of community programs and has implemented community currency programs in over 45 locations across Kenya, as well as provided assistance for two programs in South Africa. Over 60,000 small businesses, churches, and schools have actively participated in their programs, contributing to their own economic development and growth.
Grassroots Economics is committed to improving the lives of vulnerable communities. They are currently developing programs across Kenya and providing technical support beyond Kenya's borders. Their goal is to empower communities, foster economic resilience, and drive sustainable development
