Grassparty Wijthmen is a community festival serving Herfte and Wijthmen, near Zwolle in the Netherlands. Held over the first weekend of September, the event brings residents and visitors together for several days of entertainment, activities, food, drinks, and a lively atmosphere. The 2026 programme runs from 4 to 6 September and includes a Friday drinks gathering, a children’s parade and foam party, street games, and an evening celebration.
Saturday features tractor and motorcycle tours, darts and jeu de boules tournaments, an afternoon event, an auction, and live music. Sunday’s programme includes cycling and vintage-car tours, bingo, a horse-and-wagon ride, and a friendly competition between Herfte, Wijthmen, and ’t Buyten. DJs and musical acts perform across the festival.
Visitors can also join the search for a hidden golden miniature lawn mower in the area. Grassparty is powered by volunteers and welcomes supporters, known as Grasshelden, who contribute €15 annually. The organisation also offers Saturday-evening tickets and invites businesses to enquire about sponsorship opportunities
