About Dodge Foundation
The Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation is a private foundation based in Morristown, New Jersey, with a mission to support, connect, and center communities and changemakers who are addressing the root causes and repair of structural racism and inequity in the state. Their vision is a just and equitable New Jersey where people of all races and communities have equal access to opportunities for thriving.
The foundation began its equity journey in 2016, culminating in a strategic plan for an equitable New Jersey. In response to the racial justice mobilizations and the impacts of structural racism and inequity revealed by the pandemic, they have committed to transforming their philanthropic approaches and shifting power to those closest to the solutions. They practice new grantmaking approaches that simplify processes and provide unrestricted support.
They also align their endowment with their vision and have launched a pilot investment program to enhance historically undercapitalized communities. The foundation has assembled a visionary team and launched program priorities centered on racial justice. They support organizations that address deep-rooted injustices and inequities across the state, from advocating for justice in various sectors to using arts, health, and wellness as catalysts for equity.
Throughout their work, they prioritize intentional action towards racial equity and justice in New Jersey
