Great Bear Ski Valley

Great Bear Ski Valley is a year-round recreation destination in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and the largest park in the Sioux Falls Parks & Recreation Department. Located just minutes from downtown, the 220-acre park offers activities for visitors of different ages and skill levels. During winter, weather permitting, guests can enjoy 14 downhill ski trails, a terrain park, the Kirby Family Tubing Park, and trails for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. The resort also offers lift tickets, equipment rentals, lessons, season passes, group outings, and special promotions. Tubing sessions can be reserved online, and visitors are encouraged to check hours, trail conditions, availability, and safety requirements before arriving.

In warmer months, Great Bear’s four-mile trail system is open for hiking, jogging, bird watching, and picnicking. The park also hosts events and provides an outdoor setting for weddings, corporate retreats, family reunions, and private parties. Additional offerings include The Lodge, gift cards, and seasonal events such as a ski swap and winter festival.
