Great Wave Aviation

Great Wave Aviation is a flight-training provider based in Hood River, offering instruction tailored to each client’s needs and aviation goals. Its mission is to provide strong value, satisfying and enjoyable training, and help students become superior pilots. The company is candid that learning to fly takes time, presents challenges, and costs money, while emphasizing that flying is an awesome and worthwhile pursuit rather than promising a cheap, easy, or fast experience.

Great Wave Aviation commits to putting clients’ needs first and providing a safe training environment. Its approach goes beyond teaching basic flying skills: the school aims to help clients enjoy aviation and become part of the broader community of pilots and aviation experiences. The website lists flight instruction at $60 per hour and wet rental of a Cessna 172 at $160 per hour. It also offers information about its instructor, aircraft, and Pacific Northwest resources.
