Green Aviation Sylt

Green Aviation Sylt is a holiday flight school based on the island of Sylt in northern Germany, offering fast-track pilot training with a focus on lower-emission aviation. Its programs include training for the Private Pilot Licence (PPL) and Light Aircraft Pilot Licence (LAPL), night-flight instruction, and transition training for electric aircraft. The school also offers introductory flights, including the chance to experience flying a Pipistrel Velis Electro and view Sylt from the air.

Training combines structured flight instruction with a holiday setting and uses modern Pipistrel aircraft. The Velis Electro is used for electric flight sessions, which the school says are powered by renewable electricity and produce no climate-impacting emissions during operation. For longer training flights, Green Aviation Sylt also uses the Pipistrel Explorer, equipped with a fuel-efficient Rotax engine. The school highlights reduced aircraft noise and works with VIVO Carbon through a voluntary climate program to address unavoidable training emissions. Its approach is built around resource-conscious aircraft, efficient instruction, and making pilot training both thorough and accessible.
