GreenBlue Org

GreenBlue is an organization working to accelerate the transition to a regenerative, just, and sustainable materials economy. It brings businesses and other participants together to advance practical improvements across the value chain, with a focus on materials, packaging, and responsible product ingredients.

Its projects include the Sustainable Packaging Coalition, a membership-based collaborative that helps industry make packaging more sustainable, and How2Recycle, a standardized labeling system that gives consumers clear disposal instructions. How2Compost complements How2Recycle by communicating composting guidance for packaging with compostable components. The Recycled Material Standard helps brands and suppliers support transparent, accurate claims about recycled content through defined requirements and third-party certification. CleanGredients is a database of chemical ingredients evaluated against standards set by the EPA’s Safer Choice program for use in products that meet its criteria.

GreenBlue also organizes events that share information and encourage collaboration across the value chain. Through its initiatives, educational resources, and industry partnerships, the organization aims to help participants prioritize collective progress.
