Kirby & Family Funeral and Cremation Services is an Arkansas funeral provider offering green burial services designed to reduce environmental impact. The company’s Tucker Memorial Cemetery in Gassville is certified by the Green Burial Council and includes a section dedicated to green burials. Its approach uses non-toxic, biodegradable materials for caskets, shrouds, and urns, along with natural, non-invasive preparation methods.

Essential oils are used in the embalming process, and interments are conducted without vaults or liners. Flat markers made from native Arkansas limestone are incorporated into the landscape, allowing graves to blend gradually with their surroundings. Kirby & Family presents green burial as an alternative to traditional burial and cremation, with a focus on conserving resources, reducing emissions, and preserving habitat.

The staff helps families explore options and understand the process, and the company offers no-cost green burial pre-planning. Transferred burial insurance policies are welcome. Kirby & Family also serves Mountain Home, Bull Shoals, and Yellville-Summit, Arkansas
