Green Business Barbados (GBB) is an innovative initiative established in 2010 to promote sustainable practices within the local business community. Supported by the Future Centre Trust, the Barbados Ministry of Environment, and various international organizations, GBB aims to elevate awareness about environmental issues while guiding businesses in adopting eco-friendly, cost-effective management strategies. The organization recognizes and certifies over 40 businesses across Barbados that meet its stringent 'Green Business' standards, thereby showcasing their commitment to sustainability through various environmentally friendly products and services.

GBB plays a vital role in Barbados’ transition to a Green Economy, acting as a catalyst for sustainable development on the island. The program emphasizes the importance of sustainable management practices and seeks to inspire the private sector to engage more actively in ecological preservation.
