GreenCoop is an association of growers of Happy Tomatoes from Žitný Ostrov. Our company's philosophy is to cultivate tasty and healthy tomatoes with the smallest ecological footprint possible. Located on the largest European river island, Žitný Ostrov, known as the largest drinking water reservoir in Central Europe, our growers are dedicated to environmentally friendly practices.
With a focus on sustainable agriculture, we heat all our greenhouses using geothermal energy, collect rainwater for irrigation, and employ biological plant protection instead of chemicals. By utilizing renewable resources, we produce 15,000 tons less carbon dioxide than traditional greenhouse growers of similar size. Committed to minimizing our impact on nature, our association is the largest group of growers in Slovakia, producing over 10 million kilograms of quality Happy Tomatoes annually.
Our team of over 400 local individuals ensures that our tomatoes not only taste great and are eco-friendly but also meet the strictest European food safety standards. Join us in supporting sustainable agriculture and enjoy our delicious, safe, and environmentally friendly Happy Tomatoes from GreenCoop
