Green Fins is the pioneering independent certification program aimed at mitigating the environmental impact of marine tourism. Established in 2004, it promotes sustainable diving and snorkeling practices to protect fragile coral reefs, a vital component of our marine ecosystems. Implemented globally by The Reef-World Foundation in partnership with the UN Environment Programme, Green Fins provides robust environmental guidelines and an assessment system for marine tourism operators.

Members of Green Fins can choose between certified and digital memberships. Certified Members receive annual in-person assessments, ensuring they meet high environmental standards and can display performance rankings (Bronze, Silver, Gold). Meanwhile, Digital Members self-manage their sustainability journey, gaining access to personalized action plans and resources through the Green Fins Hub.
