Green Guardians

Green Guardians of the Earth is an environmental literacy series and children’s movement created by the Nature Friends Humanitarian Foundation and published by Greenlift Resources Limited in Lagos, Nigeria. Born in Nigeria, it helps children learn to value and protect nature through imaginative stories, indigenous knowledge, and practical activities. The first book follows Tobi and Amina on an adventure in the Ancient Forest, where they discover the Earth’s friends and the importance of caring for the environment. It is designed for read-alouds and discussion, with action ideas children can put into practice.

Families and classrooms can begin with the free 7-Day Green Guardian Challenge, featuring guided activities on nature, water, planting, waste, energy, and more, plus a completion certificate. For schools, the programme offers class sets, teacher guides mapped to environmental studies, and support for Eco Smart Champions clubs, where pupils can take part in tree planting, clean-ups, gardens, and recycling drives. The wider movement also welcomes community members and ambassadors who help spread participation and track reported actions.
