Global Green & Healthy Hospitals

Global Green and Healthy Hospitals (GGHH) is a transformative international network aimed at making healthcare facilities more sustainable while promoting public health. With over 1,900 members across 86 countries, GGHH includes hospitals, health systems, and health organizations committed to minimizing their environmental footprint. The initiative focuses on innovative practices such as onsite renewable energy, sustainable food sourcing, waste reduction, and water recycling to create healthier healthcare environments.

GGHH provides a comprehensive framework for its members through the GGHH Agenda, which features 10 interconnected sustainability goals. These goals guide hospitals and health systems in implementing effective sustainability initiatives tailored to their unique circumstances. Members gain access to exclusive tools and resources that support their journey towards achieving these objectives.

As part of the Health Care Without Harm program, GGHH exemplifies a commitment to fostering a healthier planet through collaborative efforts in the healthcare sector, driving forward both environmental responsibility and improved health outcomes for communities worldwide.
