Green Mountain Maine Coons

Green Mountain Maine Coons is a family-based Maine Coon cattery in Wolcott, Vermont, dedicated to preserving the breed’s distinctive beauty, size, and gentle temperament. Its cats and kittens are raised in the home rather than in cages, with daily attention, careful socialization, and a calm, nurturing environment. The cattery emphasizes intentional, selective breeding and long-term feline health, including genetic testing for HCM, SMA, and PKDef, appropriate nutrition, and clean, low-stress surroundings.

Kittens grow up amid family routines and are thoughtfully placed in loving homes at 14 weeks of age. The cattery says this additional time supports social development, confidence, and a smoother transition to family life. Prospective adopters can learn about the breeding program, meet the kings and queens and princesses, read reviews, and submit an adoption application. Green Mountain Maine Coons anticipates a future breeding and encourages visitors to check for updates. The owner, Penny, is also a Master Herbalist and Natural Practitioner who offers dried blood analysis as a preventative health tool for people and pets.
