Greenpass Software Solutions

Greenpass helps property developers, planners, cities and investors understand how buildings and their surroundings affect local climate conditions. Using climate, wind and water simulations, the company measures the effects of design choices on heat, water management, wind and outdoor comfort, supporting evidence-based decisions from feasibility studies through planning and asset assessment.

Its services include site-specific ClimateCheck analyses of climate hazards, mitigation and adaptation, including assessments of EU Taxonomy alignment. Greenpass also provides simulations for buildings, open spaces and neighbourhoods, identifies climate risks and evaluates potential measures such as greening, façade treatments and material choices. Findings can inform design optimisation, investment decisions, permitting, environmental certifications and green finance requirements.

The company’s products include simulation and climate-risk analysis services, alongside an academy that trains planners to incorporate climate analysis into design work. Greenpass works with clients and partners on projects ranging from individual buildings to mixed-use districts, healthcare facilities and retail developments. Its case studies include IKEA Westbahnhof in Vienna, Biotope City Vienna and Barmherzige Brüder Linz.
