Green Power Denmark is a non-commercial business organization that brings together around 1,500 members from across the green energy value chain. We proudly represent companies in the renewable energy industry, including owners and developers of renewable energy systems, electricity companies, distribution system operators (DSOs), energy trading companies, and companies that refine, convert, and store green electricity. Our goal is to accelerate the electrification of society and work towards a green, carbon-neutral future.

Denmark is a pioneering country in renewable energy technology and solutions. Currently, wind and solar power account for over 46% of Denmark's electricity consumption, and we boast one of the world's most flexible and stable electricity grids, ensuring 99. 99% security of electricity supply.

Denmark has set ambitious targets, aiming for a 70% reduction in CO2 emissions by 2030 (compared to 1990 levels) and strives for 100% climate neutrality by 2050. We take responsibility for creating the necessary framework and conditions to meet these targets and actively promote collective efforts in the green transition. Green Power Denmark was established in 2022 following the merger of Dansk Energi (Danish Energy), Wind Denmark, and Solar Power Denmark, bringing over 55 years of experience in fostering optimal framework conditions for energy companies, supporting the development of the green energy industry in Denmark, and promoting business growth across the value chain
