Green-Schools is Ireland's leading environmental management and education program for schools, operated by the Environmental Education Unit of An Taisce. Their mission is to protect planet Earth and involve everyone in their efforts. They warmly welcome participants of all backgrounds, cultures, races, ethnicities, religions, beliefs, abilities, sexual orientations, and gender identities, valuing equity, diversity, and social justice.

Green-Schools is also known internationally as Eco-Schools and is coordinated by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE). Eco-Schools is a fundamental initiative that encourages young people to engage in their environment and actively protect it. It starts in the classroom, expands to the school, and fosters change in the community at large.
