Green Steps is a pioneering organization founded in 2017 in Shanghai, dedicated to enhancing urban and suburban green spaces and fostering a deep connection between people and nature. With a mission to combat nature deficit disorder, Green Steps offers guided and self-guided experiential walks, mainly targeting children and families, to promote environmental awareness and community engagement. The organization has successfully trained nearly 100 Nature Guides through its three-level training program, now available online.
In 2019, Green Steps expanded to Europe, establishing the Mobile Campus 4.0 to deliver innovative environmental education to children and teens aged 6 to 18. This initiative, coupled with a web app that maps natural experiences, aims to bridge digital and environmental education. As an official Erasmus+ coordinating organization, Green Steps actively promotes youth encounters and volunteers' participation in nature education. Their dedicated team comprises experts from diverse fields, all united in their passion for sustainable practices and shaping a healthier future for upcoming generations.
