About Green Tribos
EJD GreenTribos is a brand dedicated to developing innovative and sustainable green technologies in the field of tribology. With a focus on reducing friction, wear, and pollution, they aim to contribute to a better environment for all. Their team of 12 early-stage researchers (ESRs) work across three science-based work packages to create integrative green concepts, functional mechanisms, and lifecycle analyses.
By using complementary techniques and tools, these ESRs, supported by their supervisors and mentors, develop individual PhD-specific projects that contribute to a measurable impact on sustainability. Through their research, they aim to decrease energy consumption, resource depletion, and polluting emissions. EJD GreenTribos also collaborates with leading academic groups from the TRIBOS consortium, ensuring a comprehensive approach to tribology and surface engineering.
By training the next generation of scientists and engineers, they are paving the way for a sustainable engineering future in 21st century Europe. EJD GreenTribos is funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant agreement No. 860246
