Green Vegetable Seeds is a gardener-led seed company offering vegetable varieties selected by organic grower Klaus Laitenberger. Its range includes around 120 tried-and-tested varieties chosen for gardeners in Ireland and the UK, with attention to ease of growing, disease resistance, reliable productivity, performance across different conditions, and taste. The selections reflect experience adapting growing methods to Ireland’s climate and soils, where the season often begins later.

The company also sells practical vegetable-growing books by Klaus Laitenberger, covering self-sufficient gardening, crops suited to Irish conditions, and fruit and vegetables for polytunnels and greenhouses. Alongside its products, Green Vegetable Seeds shares gardening information through newsletters, articles, videos, and advice on topics such as soils, pests and diseases, and microgreens. It offers gardening courses and tours, as well as consulting, lectures, and talks on growing food. Laitenberger previously served as Head Gardener at the Organic Centre in County Leitrim, restored the gardens at Lissadell House in County Sligo, and contributes regularly to Irish Garden magazine.
