Greenwood Cemetery

The Greenwood Cemetery is a nonprofit, non-sectarian cemetery serving Indiana, Pennsylvania, and the surrounding community since 1879. Located in White Township near the borough of Indiana, it has grown from its original 16-acre tract to more than 170 acres of carefully maintained grounds. Its mission is to provide a peaceful, respectful place where families can gather, reflect, and honor loved ones.

The cemetery offers a range of interment options to accommodate personal wishes and family traditions. Choices include in-ground burial plots, traditional upright monuments and simpler memorials, landscaped garden areas, and above-ground burial options in the Garden of Peace, as well as niche spaces. Greenwood’s staff can assist families with questions about burial arrangements, grave-space rights, and payment options; lots and niches may be purchased through regular payments arranged with the office. The office also helps people locate burial records, providing dates of death and burial and grave locations for individuals interred at the cemetery. Through its grounds and services, Greenwood supports remembrance and community care across generations.
