Gregg Amore

Gregg Amore is a dedicated public servant and Rhode Island's Secretary of State, known for his deep roots in East Providence and commitment to education and civic engagement. A lifelong resident, Gregg has made significant contributions to local schools and community programs. He earned his bachelor’s degree in history from Providence College and holds a master’s in public policy from New England College. His 27-year tenure as a teacher at East Providence High School earned him recognition as the Rhode Island History Teacher of the Year.

As a former State Representative, he has championed education reform and initiatives that enhance student support, including a law mandating civics education proficiency for high school graduation. Gregg’s involvement extends to sports, where he has coached various teams and significantly expanded Unified Sports programs. He also holds memberships on multiple committees and organizations that support youth and community advocacy.
