Greg Jelks Baseball Development Fund Inc. is a not-for-profit incorporated association established in 2017 following the unexpected death of Australian baseball legend Greg Jelks. The fund honours his lifelong contribution to the sport and aims to carry his work forward by promoting and encouraging baseball talent at individual and club level. Its stated activities include providing funding for youth and supporting training opportunities for the wider baseball community.

Jelks played Major League Baseball for the Philadelphia Phillies in 1987 before moving to Australia in 1992, where he starred for the Perth Heat for almost a decade. His achievements included Australian championship success, a bronze medal with Australia at the 1997 Baseball World Championships, and selection to the tournament’s World All Stars team. After his playing career, he coached Australian national and Olympic teams, professional clubs in the United States, and Carine Baseball Club in Western Australia. The fund invites community support and participation to sustain his legacy and strengthen baseball development.
