Grenland Sportsfiskere

Grenland Sportsfiskere is a sports fishing association established in 1937 to provide anglers in the Grenland region of Norway with good fishing opportunities. Its fishing waters are located in Sauheradfjella, Luksefjell and Mofjella north of Skien, in the Gjuvsjå area of Hardangervidda, and in Øyfjell. Brown trout is the main catch in these waters, while salmon fishing in the Skiensvassdraget watercourse is also popular. The association also owns a cabin in the coastal archipelago, offering access to sea fishing.

Members can apply to rent the association’s cabins, which are situated in several fishing areas, and can find information about accommodation, prices and booking through the association. Grenland Sportsfiskere provides information on fishing rules and waters, sells trout fishing permits, and offers tools for registering trout and salmon catches. Its activities also include volunteer work to maintain fishing spots and waterways, alongside specialist groups and events for anglers. The association shares members’ stories and fishing news through its Fiskesport magazine and social media, and welcomes people interested in joining.
