About GRETE Project
GRETE Project_EU is a brand dedicated to improving the wood-to-textile value chain, with the goal of enabling the production of sustainable and high-quality cellulose-based textile fibers. Through the use of green chemicals and technologies, GRETE Project_EU aims to address the existing challenges and bottlenecks in the textile industry. The brand offers a range of innovative technologies and solutions that contribute to the improvement of the textile value chain.
These include the development of novel raw materials for the textile industry, the creation of new solvents for cellulose dissolution and regeneration, and the production of high-quality fibers with tailored properties. With a strong network consisting of 8 EU partners from 5 EU countries, GRETE Project_EU has successfully collaborated with industry stakeholders and presented its results at international conferences. The project has received funding from the Bio-based Industries Joint Undertaking (JU) under the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation program.
