Greybird

Greybird Pilot Academy is a Scandinavian flight school offering commercial pilot training for aspiring pilots, with programmes designed to prepare students for the demands of an airline career. Created by pilots, the academy emphasizes sound training, professional attitude and thoroughness, building students’ skills, judgment and confidence from the beginning. Its integrated pilot training takes approximately 22–24 months and welcomes students with no previous flying experience, provided they meet the stated education, English-language and Class 1 Medical requirements.

Greybird operates six bases across four countries, with more than 200 students. Theory lessons are generally held at local bases, while flight training takes place at selected locations with suitable facilities and conditions. The academy provides training, flight hours, theory instruction and learning materials, with costs paid in modules as students progress. Prospective students can attend information meetings, review programme prices and take admission tests covering mathematics, logic, personality and an interview. Greybird notes that graduates have found work with airlines including SAS, Norwegian, Ryanair and Atlantic Airways, while making clear that employment is not guaranteed.
