About Greystone Books
Greystone Books is a leading independent publisher with a strong commitment to environmental stewardship. Founded in Vancouver in 1993, our name reflects our roots in the prairie landscapes of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and our dedication to the natural world. We specialize in publishing books about nature, science, health, and social issues, providing insight into living with a deep connection to nature and promoting respect for the species we share this planet with.
In our effort to reduce our environmental footprint, we print on paper that meets international standards set by globally recognized organizations. Additionally, we publish a collection of books in partnership with the David Suzuki Institute, a non-profit organization that raises awareness on climate and biodiversity issues. Our Greystone Kids imprint offers stunning and sustainably produced picture books and middle-grade non-fiction that inspire young readers to understand and care for the wonders of nature.
