About Greystones Golf Club
Greystones Golf Club, established in 1895, is renowned as one of Ireland’s premier private members clubs. The club's golf course, designed by the esteemed Harry Colt, offers breathtaking views of the Wicklow Mountains and Dublin Bay, nestled within the stunning Burnaby Estate. Notable historical figures such as Viscount Powerscourt and Bonar Law have graced the club, alongside world-renowned writer Samuel Beckett. The local area has produced exceptional golfers, including Paul Dunne, contributing to the club’s rich golfing heritage.
The club has undergone substantial development in recent years, focusing on providing a world-class golfing, clubhouse, and hospitality experience. The course’s greens are esteemed as among the finest in the country. A significant redesign of the front nine holes was completed in 1998, overseen by course architect Paddy Merrigan, while a further upgrade by renowned designer Ron Kirby ensured the preservation of the course's classic character. Greystones Golf Club remains committed to its tradition, offering an unforgettable golfing experience on one of the world's most historic courses.
