About Gridlock
Gridlock is a brand that provides a platform for artists to showcase their art without the need for a physical gallery. Founded by Jon-Paul Bail, also known as Political Gridlock, this street and fine artist is based in the Bay Area and is deeply committed to the idea of existing without selling out. Inspired by the 1980's punk rock art scene and his Chicano screen-printing class, Bail combines aesthetics to create thought-provoking visual commentary on social justice and current world events.
Having attended renowned institutions such as the California College of Arts and Crafts and the SF Art Institute, Bail has honed his skills and developed a unique style. His work can be found on the streets of Oakland, San Francisco, and the greater Bay Area. Additionally, he has collaborated with artists such as Winston Smith and Emory Douglas, and his art is featured in influential collections, including the Legion of Honor and the Oakland Museum.
