Grieving Hearts for Animals provides compassionate support for people coping with the loss, illness, or hospice care of an animal companion. Led by Mary Ann Bumbera, an Animal Chaplain and Certified Animal Hospice Practitioner, the practice recognizes that grief for an animal can be profound and is often overlooked. Mary Ann offers one-on-one grief support for recent or long-ago losses, as well as guidance when an animal is currently in hospice.
Sessions create a compassionate space for people of all faith traditions to share their animal’s story and work through difficult emotions at their own pace. A 30-minute consultation helps clients consider coping strategies and resources, which may include books, podcasts, group support, rituals, memorials, breathwork, writing, art, or movement.
