Griffon Bleu

Griffon Bleu de Gascogne vom Bergischen Geläut is a German breeding kennel dedicated to the Griffon Bleu de Gascogne, an uncommon French scent hound. Run by Katrin and Volker Ewert in Remscheid, the kennel introduces its dogs and breeding program while sharing information about the breed’s character, history and working abilities. Its puppies have gone to homes in Germany and several other European countries, where they work as hunting dogs, mantrailers and in other roles.

The site features updates on litters, breed-related news, photographs and reports from owners. It also explains the dogs’ use in hunting and in person searches, including mantrailing, and highlights examples of their work. The kennel welcomes questions about the breed and visitors by prior arrangement, offering ongoing contact to Bleu owners and prospective families. The Griffon Bleu de Gascogne is represented within the VDH by the Verein für französische Laufhunde, and the German Hunting Dog Association recognizes it as a foreign hunting-dog breed.
