As a family-owned and operated business, our story originates from the Soviet-Afghan war in 1980, when we were forced to flee Afghanistan. After immigrating to the United States, our cousin, Mahmoud Mahdjoub, discovered his passion for cooking, leading us to start a kabob restaurant featuring his authentic Afghan recipes. Starting in a small food court in Springfield Mall, our business quickly grew due to excellent word of mouth, prompting us to open multiple locations.
Today, Grill Kabob is recognized as one of the largest kabob chains in the United States.
