Grimms Eismärchen is a small family-run ice cream business in Leipzig, Germany, founded around a love of handmade vegan treats and fairy tales. Its ice cream is produced in-house using the family’s own recipes and traditional handcraft, with fresh fruit making up as much as 50% of some varieties. The recipes are made without milk, ready-made powders, flavor enhancers, artificial flavors or colorings, and use less white sugar; some options are gluten-free.
The range includes story-inspired flavors such as Rotkäppchen, Froschkuss and Schokomärchen, alongside ice cakes, ice cream muffins, ice bombs, cups and larger tubs. Customers can also order café specialties, homemade sauces, milkshakes and pancakes, with some offerings available through Lieferando and Wolt. For events, Grimms Eismärchen provides catering and rents an ice cream trailer for occasions including birthdays, company events, festivals and weddings.
The shop at Jahnallee 6–8 is scheduled to close temporarily and reopen on February 27, 2027
