Släktföreningen Gripenberg is a Finnish family association dedicated to preserving the history and fostering a sense of community among the Gripenberg family and its wider network. Founded in 1952, it operated informally until its registration in Finland’s association register on 5 October 2007. The association is based in Helsinki and conducts its activities in Swedish.
Membership is open not only to people listed in Finland’s nobility calendar, but also to spouses, adopted family members, relatives in the direct line of descent, and others with an interest in the family. The association is governed by approved statutes and an elected board, and holds an annual meeting before the end of May. Its activities are funded by membership fees, currently €10 per year.
Members receive reliable information about the association’s work and can take part in meetings, gatherings, and excursions. Through these events and its family-history resources, including information about the Gripenberg name and its Finnish, Swedish, and Russian branches, the association encourages connection with relatives, family roots, and shared heritage
