Global Refugee Initiatives (GRI) is a humanitarian Non-Governmental Organization based in Kampala, Uganda. Our mission is to lessen the impact of armed conflicts, natural disasters, and displacement on our project participants. We achieve this by providing increased access to education, health, justice, and economic opportunities.

At GRI, we believe in collaborating with our participants, which include refugees, internally displaced persons (IDPs), and their host communities. By working together, we aim to better prepare them for (re)integration into society, benefiting everyone involved. In line with international legal instruments and local frameworks, such as the Refugee Act 2006 and the Uganda Settlement Transformation Agenda, we uphold values of impartiality, integrity, transparency, partnership, respect, resilience, sustainability, and accountability.
