GrlzWave is a feminist multimedia platform from Tbilisi, Georgia. We are mostly active on social media, as Facebook and Instagram is our main way of connecting with our audience. We fight against stereotypes, dogmas and inequality, which are embedded in the patriarchal society. Our mission is to destroy all of the above by giving young people access to education and factual information. We strive to educate people about social issues, sexuality, homo/transphobia, mental health, sexism, etc. and to create a safe space, where everyone can speak freely, share stories/experiences, and listen to each other without hate speech. There is no taboo topic for us - we are talking about everything and anything. Our goal is to motivate young people, and especially girls, to be comfortable in their own bodies, to talk about the problems they are facing and to be whom they want to be, regardless of what society expects from them. We want young people to aspire for societal change and ways of thinking, so they can live in a world free of stereotypes.
