About GROEZROCK Festival
GROEZROCK Festival is an annual event held in Meerhout, Belgium, every last weekend in April (early May). What started as a small venue with only 400 visitors has now grown into one of the largest punkrock/hardcore/skapunk festivals in the BeNeLux, attracting over 20,000 visitors from all over the world. Although the festival was scaled down in 2017 to accommodate work and family commitments, it made a triumphant return in 2019 and is back in full force.
GROEZROCK prides itself in offering the best punkrock, hardcore, metalcore, skapunk, and exceptional music of today and tomorrow. While they strive to book all the popular punk and hardcore bands, they also like to think outside the box and surprise their audience. The festival takes its name from the region's dialect, where grass is called groez, and it initially took place on a pasture near the GRASHEUVEL (a street in Meerhout-Gestel: Grasshill).
