Grollius

Grollius – Osteopathie für Pferde & Hunde is an independent animal therapy practice serving the Königswinter area. Its work focuses on supporting horses’ movement and comfort through hands-on treatment, with services including osteopathic equine therapy, chiropractic care for horses, and acupuncture. The practice also identifies itself as offering osteopathy for dogs, although the supplied information describes its horse therapies in greater detail.

Equine osteopathic sessions begin with a history and assessment, which may include observing the horse in motion, reviewing saddle and tack fit, and examining muscles, joints, and the spine. Treatment uses manual techniques addressing soft tissue and movement restrictions, with the aim of supporting the animal’s own recovery processes. Chiropractic care focuses on assessing and restoring joint mobility, while acupuncture is presented as another treatment option. The practitioner’s training in osteopathic equine therapy was completed through a two-year course at the Fachschule für Osteopathische Pferdetherapie nach Welter-Böller®. Services may be relevant when owners notice changes such as uneven movement, back sensitivity, difficulty bending, or resistance during riding and handling.
