Ground Level Innovations is a Prince Edward Island-based company developing produce-handling equipment for agricultural packers. Working with packers, it created the patented EZ Down system to help fill tote bags and pallet boxes gently, reducing bruising and marking when handling potatoes, onions, and other produce. Its equipment is designed for accurate, efficient filling while taking up limited warehouse space.
The EZ Down uses a patented lowering design, an in-feed chute and sensor system, and a built-in buffer hopper that allows bags or crates to be changed without stopping the production line. It can handle up to 50,000 pounds of produce per hour. For higher-volume operations, the Big EZ is designed to move up to 100,000 pounds per hour continuously. Both machines are intended to support flexible container filling and efficient use of labour and space.
Ground Level Innovations also provides technical support for its equipment. The company is a partner of SWP Machinery, which specializes in customizing and installing agricultural machinery and processing lines.
