Ground Truth Trekking is a dedicated organization focused on outdoor exploration and environmental stewardship in Alaska. Since its inception in 2016, the organization has rallied volunteers to construct a scenic trail connecting Kachemak Bay to the Gulf of Alaska, inviting the community to participate in outdoor initiatives. Ground Truth Trekking not only promotes trail building but also offers invaluable resources for adventurers and nature enthusiasts.

Their Kachemak Adventure Map, designed with the latest satellite data and local insights, aims to provide the most comprehensive hiking and paddling guide for Kachemak Bay State Park and surrounding areas. The organization is committed to educating the public about critical issues in Alaska, such as climate change, energy resources, and environmental conservation through white papers and reports. Through their efforts, Ground Truth Trekking fosters a deeper understanding of Alaska’s natural beauty while encouraging sustainable exploration for generations to come.
