Groundworks New Mexico

Groundworks New Mexico, formerly known as the Center for Nonprofit Excellence, is a statewide organization dedicated to strengthening the capabilities and capacity of nonprofits so they can more effectively achieve their missions. It supports New Mexico’s social sector through education, training, resources, networking, and policy information. Its programs address key nonprofit needs, including board development, leadership, communications and marketing, advocacy, collaboration, diversity, equity and inclusion, human resources, technology, evaluation, fundraising, financial management, and volunteer management.

Groundworks offers workshops, events, and an annual statewide social sector conference, connecting nonprofit professionals with subject matter experts and peers. Its online resource library includes materials such as the New Mexico Nonprofit Capacity Assessment, a foundation dashboard, nonprofit reports, and census information. The organization also helps people find nonprofits, foundations, and grantmakers through searchable directories, and provides opportunities to post nonprofit, grantmaker, and job listings. Groundworks shares sector news and policy updates and invites community members to subscribe for email updates, join its network, and support its work through donations.
