Vicard is a French cooperage based in Cognac, producing 40,000 barrels each year for wine and spirits producers around the world. The company combines traditional craft with a focus on wood selection, traceability, research and innovation. Its offerings include traditional barrels, premium vinification barrels, casks and tanks, as well as barrels for eaux-de-vie and second-hand barrels. Vicard also makes truncated-cone tanks and round or oval casks, serving a range of production needs.
The brand’s portfolio extends beyond conventional cooperage. Its products include the Génération 7 range, which focuses on tannin potential and molecular toasting, and ECO ranges such as ECO, ECO 3 and ECO 27 / ECO SELECT. Alternative oak solutions include weSTAVE, weSTAVE Mini and weBLOCK, alongside oak chips and pieces. Vicard’s wider group also presents Foudrerie expertise in large-format wood vessels, and offers casks, tanks and accessories. Through its product ranges and research unit, Vicard brings together established cooperage techniques and specialised approaches to wood for winemaking and spirits production.
