Grovedale Little Athletics Club is a community athletics club serving children aged 5 to 15 from Grovedale, Armstrong Creek and the Surf Coast. Established in 1974, it is one of nine clubs in the Geelong Little Athletics Centre competition. Its inclusive approach welcomes children of all abilities, focusing on fun, fitness and friendship rather than speed alone.

During summer, members take part in track and field on Saturday mornings at Landy Field, with running, jumping and throwing events arranged in rotating programs. Children under six and seven can participate in On Track, a play-based introduction to athletics. Cross-country activities take place over winter. New members can try the club for two weeks free and register through Little Athletics Victoria, selecting Geelong as their centre and Grovedale as their club.

The club also connects junior athletes with Deakin Athletics, offering a pathway to senior athletics, Monday night training and mentoring from senior athletes. Families contribute as volunteers during weekly competition, helping create an involved club community.
