About GROW Australia
GROW Australia is a community-based organization that offers peer-to-peer support to help Australians with their recovery from mental ill-health. With a history dating back to 1957, GROW was founded by Catholic priest Father Con Keogh, who himself experienced a mental breakdown and found solace in the fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meetings. Recognizing the positive impact of these meetings on mental health, Con and a group of like-minded friends formed GROW to address their specific needs.
Since then, GROW has evolved and expanded across Australia, providing free, mutual support groups and personal development programs based on the 12 Steps of Recovery and Personal Growth. From its humble beginnings, GROW has helped thousands of Australians on their journey to good mental health.
